The worst part of diagnostic testing is the waiting. At South College Veterinary Clinic, our on-site lab and advanced equipment mean faster results. Early detection is key when it comes to treating your pets, which is why we offer complete in-house diagnostics.
Since we don’t have to send samples off-site to a lab, our team gets the answers—and your pet gets treatment—sooner rather than later. Our diagnostic services include bloodwork, X-rays, ultrasound, and endoscopy. Common diagnostics include blood screens to check for infections, organ function, hormonal balances, as well as others.
Sometimes additional testing may be needed that requires partnering with an off-site lab. In those cases, we work closely with the lab and keep you informed along the way.
X-rays can help identify abnormalities such as skeletal fractures, soft tissue damage, foreign bodies, and dental disease. An ultrasound is a diagnostic tool that creates a real-time image of an animal’s body. This image shows important information about internal processes, including the circulatory, skeletal, and gastrointestinal systems. When used with other diagnostic tools like x-rays, ultrasounds can help identify disease, blockages, skeletal fractures, soft tissue damage and other internal injuries.
